LiveNF has always championed small businesses because we love and appreciate them. Local entrepreneurship is the backbone of the economy. The COVID-19 situation will have the longest and most lasting impact on small businesses. As we all rightfully focus on our health and safety of our loved ones, LiveNF asks that you also look ahead.
If you have a favorite restaurant, bar or shop, please realize that these next few weeks will have an unprecedented effect on the livelihoods of owners and employees alike. Even after we all go back to work and school, they will be dealing with a long-term financial fallout, and will need our help.
If you can, consider calling your favorite local business to order a gift certificate. You can pay for it now, and pick it up once COVID-19 is a thing of the past. The money from your gift card purchase will help get through these difficult and uncertain days.
