Any space is what you make it. That’s the Makers Market’s vibe.
Dom is the owner and operator of Downtown Dogs, an apparel shop/ fresh grill at 360 Rainbow Blvd. Downtown Dogs provides tees, hats and sweatshirts featuring countless custom "Niagara Falls" inspired designs. Dom’s own favorite design is Devil’s Hole by graphic designer Dylan Goodcell.
Some experience for themselves. Some guide, with a willingness to share that experience with others. Almost all Niagara Falls natives are familiar with the Niagara Gorge and its rare mix of amazing scenery and ever present danger. Many of us have our own spot or special pathway down to the rocks. However, very few of us create ways to connect Devil’s Hole to the whole world. With Hold The Line Outfitters, Chris Finitz and Phil Sirianni are doing exactly that.
Successfully creating a brand is anything but easy. It takes countless hours, steadfast dedication, creativity, and hard work. Luckily for Niagara Falls, we have someone who is not only trying to create a brand for himself, but is also working to rebrand the City of Niagara Falls. Recently, we had to opportunity to sit-down with Matt Catanese, a local graphic designer, musician, and the founder of his own clothing line: The Sitting Club.
In the last four years he has built quite the resume of volunteer work. He has volunteered as a cook, and in other capacities, with The Magdalene Project; Community Missions of the Niagara Frontier; Lord’s Day Dinner and The Connection, a teen drop-in center operated by Planned Parenthood - where he also spends time working with the youth to plan events, develop community projects and doing other activities such as boxing.
